Interesting table - nice herringbone pattern for the top. The top is not smooth. The edge of each board in the pattern can be felt when a hand is rubbed over it. I don't mind that as I did not want a formal look but it is something about which to be aware and it does make me wonder about wiping the top to clean it. Will crumbs get stuck in the ridges? Also wondering about the finish. It looks and feels like it might stain rather easily, but I don't know that as we have not yet had a meal there. Some glue/caulk is missing in the corner joints leaving small open hollow ridges as crumb catchers. The set has a rustic feel between the wood pattern and the slight white antique finish on the gray background. Chairs seem comfortable. Cushions are not particularly soft but seem okay. Back slats are in a good place for comfortable leaning back. One of our four chairs wobbles but we are working on a replacement for that. All in all, the set is attractive, casual looking, and a nice color change from all the browns. No information about durability as it just arrived. Guys who delivered it were nice (took off their wet shoes!), speedy and did a good job of attaching the legs to the tabletop and removing all of the packaging.
