I ordered two of the Pramit Table Lamp, in the red clay color (they call it burnt orange). I unboxed both. The first one was in perfect shape and exactly what I envisioned. The second came with a damaged shade, but the lamp base was fine. (I call the shade damaged, but a more accurate word would be mangled.) The metal fitting was twisted and the shade itself was no longer a circular shape, rather it resembled a circular triangle. I took pictures right away and got on Joss and Main's page to report the damage. J&M asked which part was damaged and to include pictures. I got a very quick response on the same day. I do not need to box up the lamp and return it, rather they will be sending a replacement shade. I love the lamp, and I trust Joss and Main will follow through with the replacement shade.. Karen. Brighten your bedside, buffet table, and more with this eye-catching lamp. We love how the base's rough texture gives it an industrial-inspired vibe we're seeing everywhere. This lamp has a rocker switch, and the classic empire shade is made from fabric to gently diffuse ambient light from one 60W bulb (sold separately).
I ordered 2 of these as bedside lamps. I love everything about them. I love that they are ceramic. I love their shape. I love the juxtaposition of the smooth whitecream glaze and the textured burnt orange glaze the fine crackling in the white glaze. I love the randomuneven “line” where the 2 glazes meet. I even like the ever-so-slightly rustic look of the shades. *I am a potter. The orange rough glaze was not just glued on. You can tell because the white glaze drips down slightly over the orange. This could not happen if the orange was glued on as the glue would burn off durning the glaze firing. Also, some reviewers have pointed to white or clear glossy areas on the orange saying it is glue. It is the white glaze that has dripped down or splashed on. When the white glaze is thin, it can look clear, but in other areas, it is white. It is definitely over the orange glaze. Some glazes are formulated to create effects during the firing. The white glaze becomes crackled and the orange glaze becomes rough like sand. The last photo I’ve uploaded is a montage of some glazes that creat rough effects. Each is available for potters to purchase.
