I’m always nervous about ordering online but these barstools are very well built. They’re heavy and very sturdy. I’m a big guy (6’3” 270 pounds) and this hood me fine with no squeaking or movement even when I rock them to test them There is some assembly but it is very simple and anyone can do it. Finally ended my search for counter stools! Love these seats. The seat is very comfortable, height is great with foot rest. Heavy so they don’t seem to easily tip backwards. The one disappointment I have, one of the chairs, one leg did not line up with the seat leaving a gap between the seat and leg. I disassembled and reattached but the same result. I bought two counter stools and the second chair there is a small gap but not as bad and visible as the other. These counter chairs seem very nice and very comfortable. We just recently assembled them so I haven’t had the opportunity to sit in them for long periods but I think they will be super comfy. Very sturdy and soft to sit in with good back support (if you sit all the way back in the seat). They are a light grey (perhaps with just a hint of blue in the fabric) with a silver-tone foot rest. We had some issues with the order and couldn’t assemble the chairs with the swivel provided. Over a period of several weeks we worked with multiple people in customer service and everyone we spoke with was SUPER helpful and very polite. They seemed to understand the issue and worked with us until it was satisfactorily resolved. Because of this I would never worry about a purchase from Joss and Main. Bought these for a client. Very sturdy and comfortable! The metal is an antique distressed bronze. The Fabric has a nice feel to it and is more of an ivory versus pure white. These barstools are high quality, solidly made, and do not require assembly. I thought the fabric color would be cream/ivory, but it's more of a griege color - darker than I expected. Still, it works well enough in my kitchen for now. The fabric pulls/reflects the taupe-griege color in my kitchen backsplash. In a white kitchen, I think the fabric would appear lighter. I like these chairs a lot. They go with the decor of my unit, which is sort of loft/industrial. I originally ordered just one because I did not want three chairs if I had to send them back. The seat on the first chair was slightly dented, which can be seen (barely) in the final photo. I fixed that with some of those furniture repair markers that you can buy in just about any hardware store. These are not the easiest chairs to assemble. I bought some other screws but those did not help. What was helpful -- my trusty pliers. The chairs come with those small black L-shaped tools that you are supposed to put in the screw, and then turn but I was having trouble getting the screws all the way in until I grabed my pliers and those did the job. One last item of note is the size of the chair seat. I had looked carefully at the dimensions online because my bar counter is not that big, so I knew these would work for me. I am however a scrawny sort of person, and as evident in the third photo, I fit nicely in the chairs but there is not a lot of room to spare. A big guy might not be all that comfortable in one of these. Once assembled, the chairs are very sturdy and I think they look so much nicer than the chairs I previously had in the same spot..
