This is a really nice looking cabinet, and it's perfect for my purpose (shoe storage where I can see all my shoes, but where they won't get dusty). I love that it came fully assembled, though it was missing the magnet that holds one of the two doors shut (a replacement has already been requested and will be shipped to me for free, which is excellent customer service). I would definitely consider buying more from this collection because they are really nice. There is a box underneath the cabinet in the photo to keep the front of the cabinet just slightly higher than the back because the door without the magnet swings open; I expect once the replacement part arrives and I install it, I'll be able to remove the box because the doors will both be held shut by magnets as intended.. The first thing you'll notice when you get this home is that it is most definitely NOT dark brown as it said in the description when I bought it. It is gray, kind of washed out gray. I was surprised by the color but I do love the looks of it and it goes well in my entryway. It's very heavy wood, and kind of rustic. It stands tall because it has the metal legs on the bottom. The cabinet doors seem a bit clunky, the inside has one shelf. I'm attaching a photo of this chest in front of my old one which is dark mahogany brown. I feel it's a little overpriced for the level of quality but I know it would be great for others who are looking for an unusual piece for their entryway.. Marjorie.
