I’m a big guy (6’3” 270 pounds) and this hood me fine with no squeaking or movement even when I rock them to test them There is some assembly but it is very simple and anyone can do it. Bought these for a client. Very sturdy and comfortable! The metal is an antique distressed bronze. The Fabric has a nice feel to it and is more of an ivory versus pure white. Well packed, comfortable and good quality. I liked that it is a little higher than some stools that sit at 23-24". No need for assembly is a huge plus. Good quality and looks nice. I hope we don't mess up the cushions from being sloppy though. These barstools are high quality, solidly made, and do not require assembly. I thought the fabric color would be cream/ivory, but it's more of a griege color - darker than I expected. Still, it works well enough in my kitchen for now. The fabric pulls/reflects the taupe-griege color in my kitchen backsplash. In a white kitchen, I think the fabric would appear lighter.
