I love the linen fabric and color; it was exactly what we wanted. However, the photo does not show that there is a 20" gap so your box spring & mattress would have to measure at least that to hide that gap. We returned it because we have a low profile mattress. The bed is very pretty and very solid. We have a king temperpedic mattress and 9’ ceilings. Assembly took about 3 hours with two of us. There are a lot of pieces. We were looking for a bed that would fit under our window and there were not as many frames available under that height in the style we were looking for but this one fit perfectly. With a slight modification from our original plan. This bed was exactly what we are looking for. The description says the bed is a platform bed and no box spring is needed, while you can use this bed with just a mattress, I would recommend adding a box spring. We removed the bed slats and replaced with a 9" metal box spring. This accompanied with a 10" memory foam mattress leaves this mattress at the perfect height. Item came missing hardware for the support bars and a set of wooden feet and the metal feet for the support bar. Replacement parts were still missing the wooden feet.
