We had some work done so I was getting a new couch. I had very specific size and material requirements for the couch, so it limited my color choices. I decided to get a new rug as well to tie the change together. This rug helped me accept a darker couch that met the rest of my requirements. Not only does it look great, it's WAY SOFTER than I expected. My fiance said it looked "old and worn" - which was what I was going for, so I'd say it has a true vintage look. I do want to note, as other reviews stated, that the colors are slightly different than in the product photos. It's not black, it's definitely navy, but the rug still has terocotta and beige tones if you want to pull the warm colors. The terocotta blends nicely with my cherry floors (i feel this rug compliments any hardwood color), and I plan on getting some terocotta pillows as well to warm the space up. The cats love to lay on it, and some water spilled on it the other day and it almost had a waterproof effect? I could easily wipe up the water with a towel and the rug was dry. Highly recommend!
