I love this bed, works with our coastal decor very well. This is the 2nd time I buy one (used also in a vacation rental). Very well made and sturdy. Arrived early and was easy to install. Highly recommend. NOTE - might have implied that you do not need a box spring, but you do (especially if you have a memory foam mattress). I recommend a 4" profile box spring, or 1 piece of plywood. I used the plywood because the box spring would take the mattress higher than I want, not to mention that it would also cover more of the headboard (which is the best part of the bed design).. Ellie. I absolutely love the bed and the color. However, came with no directions for putting together the support structure. Additionally, the mattress fits so tightly within the bed frame that you cannot tuck the sheets under it; they all needed to be tucked in between the mattress and the frame by squeezing your hand in to push them down. I don't have very big hands, but I wound up with scratches all over them anyway from the extreme tight fit.
