This sideboard is wonderful—solidly made and the patina-ed metal on the front is so unique and beautiful. Now, spending this much money on a piece of furniture leads me to look for any slight imperfections and I agree with some of the other reviews on here that it’s a bit frustrating how the doors do not hang evenly. I’ve tried adjusting them but it seems maybe the weight of the doors or the fact that they have magnetic closures instead of latches makes it difficult for the doors to line up perfectly. This piece looks just as good in person as online, we are very happy with it! True to stated size and well constructed. This piece feels solid and all the hardware is properly aligned. It has soft close door hinges, which is a nice touch. The top is definitely a veneer, and the black body pieces seem to be painted solid wood. The feet and bottom stretcher are powdercoated metal.
