I am very happy with this purchase. I have tried 3 other places for on line rugs and they were all awful experiences for mainly a moldy odor reason that could not be corrected. I found Joss & Main and reluctantly tried again, but with friends telling me their great experience, I proceeded with the order. This carpet is made very well, it's soft and cozy and looks perfect in my foyer. Best of all...no bad odor! I just ordered a runner now for the mud room. I will definitely be shopping here again!. A great addition to our space. The color is just as the website photos depicted, and we really love the design. I wish it would've been slightly larger- a true 8x10. We have purchased 4 Chris Loves Julia × Loloi rugs (2 this order, and 2 previously) and the new rugs are replacing the older ones. I ordered this carpet for a little used dining room that needed some pattern and texture. For the price, this is a winner. The cream is more taupe and the charcoal can look gray depending on the direction from which it is viewed. Can’t speak to its durability but it seems decently made.. joann. After an embarrassingly long search for a rug, this was a total hit! Beautiful colors of green, blue and some gold, and feels good with a rug pad underneath. Neutral but not boring. We had some work done so I was getting a new couch. I had very specific size and material requirements for the couch, so it limited my color choices. I decided to get a new rug as well to tie the change together. This rug helped me accept a darker couch that met the rest of my requirements. Not only does it look great, it's WAY SOFTER than I expected. My fiance said it looked "old and worn" - which was what I was going for, so I'd say it has a true vintage look. I do want to note, as other reviews stated, that the colors are slightly different than in the product photos. It's not black, it's definitely navy, but the rug still has terocotta and beige tones if you want to pull the warm colors. The terocotta blends nicely with my cherry floors (i feel this rug compliments any hardwood color), and I plan on getting some terocotta pillows as well to warm the space up. The cats love to lay on it, and some water spilled on it the other day and it almost had a waterproof effect? I could easily wipe up the water with a towel and the rug was dry. Highly recommend! Before I purchased the Rosemarie Oriental area rug (Gold/Sand; 8 x 10) I read all the reviews and hoped that we'd love it when it was delivered. Now that our rug has arrived, I will say this: Is the rug thin? Yes. Does it look lighter colored when looking at in one direction versus darker colored when looking at it in the opposite direction? Yes. Does the rug look metallic? No. (Not to me.) Do the edges curl up? No. (Give it about 2 weeks and the edges will start to flatten out.) Is it overpriced for what it is? We were looking at 8x10 rugs that were $1k and over and we just couldn't shell out that much money for a rug; so by comparison this rug was affordable and in our price range. Are teeny bits of the rug bald? Yes. HOWEVER, we love it! We already had a rug pad, so that took care of the thinness. I don't mind the rug looking different shades based on the direction that you are looking at it because no one ever stands on the other side of the room that has a wall and zero foot traffic. The tiny bald spots in the rug give it a distressed vintage look which we like. The rug is made of polypropylene and seems stain-proof. So far my kids have dropped three drinks on it in the past two weeks and it's been easy to clean. (THANK JEEBUS!) Unlike other reviewers, I think the rug is pretty soft under my feet. Now: Do I wish the edges of the rug were more reinforced? Yes. Do I wish it were a smidge thicker and substantial? Yes. But overall, we still like the rug.
