Minimalist and modernist and ultimately more practical and more customizable than many others. As an example, it has 3 bulb sockets so I have a wide range of choices in bulbs, either LED or fluorescent. As it take bulbs it means I will always be able to determine wattage and color rendition to suit. Some fixtures have to be replaced if their built-in LEDs fail in time, but that will not be an issue with this fixture as the sockets will last probably decades at least. The shade diffuses the light evenly and is a thick material and not flimsy with the canopy focusing the light to be everywhere in the room and not the ceiling. Overall I would have thought this lamp would be priced far higher than what it was and am extremely satisfied with the 3 that were purchased for our kitchen. Installation was elementary and due to the materials used - quality shade and canopy of metal, I know it will last a very long time.
