The Joss & Main Aleja bed arrived well packed with no damage and looks exactly like the picture. We had box springs but it made the mattress too high against the headboard. We added a bunky board and the mattress height is exactly where it should be. We have a Beautyrest Black mattress which is 10" high and fills the frame right to the edges. Not even two years and my Asel queen bed frame has either cracked or completely snapped in two places. The fabric is nice, esthetic is nice, but frame rim where slats connect is brittle. When putting this together I thought this was going to be a tough bed with the metal mid supports and the way the pieces all bolt together but was wrong. With the cost of the frame this should have been made with a harder wood and tougher anchors. The rim uses what looks like drywall screws. A bed shouldn’t break from rotating your body. 4 1/2 hours to put together!!!! The color ‘white’ on the website is more of a beige and the fabric looks almost linen-y. The hydraulic works well and there’s a ton of storage. Note that the base in the bed is not that sturdy and you won’t be able to put anything heavy in it. You absolutely will need 2 people to put this together. The bed sits much higher than what is shown in the photo. This bed does not sit like a lower profile/platform bed. The actual quality of the bed is great but the description was misleading..
