The unit is as described. It’s very solid and really good looking. The brown color is a medium dark pure brown (not orange-y or reddish or grayish). The texture of the graining is very nice — the unit looks a lot more expensive than it costs. The handles have a good solid feel and the color is a dark steel in a matte finish and not an oil rubbed bronze look. It lost one star because it arrived with a dent on the corner, and as other reviewers have experienced, one of the doors is not correctly aligned and rubs when it closes (and will not self-close like the other doors). This furniture piece is very heavy and obviously very well made. It arrives fully assembled which is lovely. The back is a think solid piece of material as opposed to a thin cardboard. It was very difficult to get up to the second floor but it's lovely. It will require hinge adjustment so the doors align correctly. Overall, this is a nice TV stand, but ours does have a small quality issue and the white glove delivery could have been better. One of the doors is not properly aligned so there's a small gap on the top. As a result, the doorknobs are also misaligned. Not a huge problem now, but given the price of the item it is disappointing. Our delivery was quick but the team did not fully remove packaging pieces and broke one of the brackets on the shelving. I love this gorgeous piece! It's incredibly well-crafted, you can tell from the weight and heft. It has tons of storage, which I need in my small space. It's a vintage-inspired piece, but works well with a variety of styles as evidence by my eclectic living room. After looking all over, I was able to purchase this media cabinet on J&M at quite a savings compared to the identical item found at other big chains (Crate, Barn). One word of caution – arrives in an ENORMOUS box, and the delivery guys had to work hard to figure out how to get it through my building's hallway and into my unit...so be prepared (and probably get White Glove delivery if you can)..
