I love this bed, works with our coastal decor very well. This is the 2nd time I buy one (used also in a vacation rental). Very well made and sturdy. Arrived early and was easy to install. Highly recommend. NOTE - might have implied that you do not need a box spring, but you do (especially if you have a memory foam mattress). I recommend a 4" profile box spring, or 1 piece of plywood. I used the plywood because the box spring would take the mattress higher than I want, not to mention that it would also cover more of the headboard (which is the best part of the bed design).. Ellie. This bed is stunning! It is an olive green color with brown tones, and the velvet feels amazing. Well constructed and does not require a box spring. Height is perfect for sitting on the edge with my 14” mattress (I am 5’7”). I included some pictures to help other shoppers better visualize the color.
