Nice looking piece of furniture, but was really surprised with the drawer size. There must be 6" of dead space in the back of the dresser because the drawers are significantly smaller than the overall footprint of the piece of furniture. This is a nice piece of furniture. I was not expecting it to come assembled so I was pleasantly surprised. However, I did not unpack this until about a week later after receiving it and there was some damage on the upper side and corner of the chest. Looks like some separation of the top and side edge and it looks like it was dropped on the top corner. The product was well packaged and the box looked like it had no damage so this had to have been damaged prior to packaging. I am very disappointed that I would get shipped a damaged product. Overall the bureau is fine and sturdy. I did have some damage to the top of the bureau. It's more like a flaw. A four inch section of the top finish (from side to side) is missing so the finish is rough to the touch and you can see the difference. For 1400 dollars the item should be perfect.
