First off the piece is gorgeous. My review is more on the customer service and shipping experience. I tried to purchase this item late 2023 but it was sold out, came back in stock for 1 day and sold out again. So here we are 2024 and the piece is back in stock with $100 increase and as I came to find out later no white glove service/ delivery. There was the president’s day sale of Take 20 so I felt okay purchasing but the color I wanted was out of stock so I put my name on the list to be emailed when back in stock. I received an email 2 days later it is in stock. I dropped everything to purchase it. I went online and could not check out as it said item was out of stock. Had to call customer service who said it was out of stock. So who sent this email I asked. Oh ok wait they tell me the computer hasn’t caught up yet. I purchased on the phone. I ask about delivery and I am told Fed-Ex. I ask about set-up and removal of the packaging and you would have thought I asked for his paycheck. So I thought ok it must be doable for me to handle. In 2023 they offered white glove service where they brought the piece to the house and took away the packing and set-up the furniture at no extra charge. This is no way Fed-Ex fault. So on a snowy day I have 100lbs coffin size box on my front porch. How 1 guy delivered I have no clue. Had to wait for hubby to get home who wasn’t happy as this is crazy that they didn’t offer inside delivery. He didn’t believe me thought I cheaped out and didn’t pay for them to bring inside and set-up. He said what piece of junk did you order that drops off on the front porch something so big. That is how big and bulky this box was. My husband and I got it inside by pushing it. When we opened the box there is a large crack in the back of the wood. I am placing a 55 inch tv on this. Fortunately the crack is in the back. Also the holes for the knobs are not even. If you are a perfectionist this will bother you. For a large $1300 piece of furniture expecting more. So to some not a big deal but we had to bring this upstairs. So it was a huge issue and inconvenience. If you can do it no problem. There have been other issues in particular with Joss and Main, but a customer service rep did reach out, but again I will not be ordering from them or if so it would be a smaller item.
