When deciding on dresser dimensions, take into consideration two things: storage needs and space limitations. How many items are you hoping to store in each drawer? How much space can your dresser occupy? To ensure you find the right size, we’re breaking down the most important dimensions below.
Horizontal Styles: A classic style where the width is larger than the height, horizontal dressers are great for bedrooms with plenty of wall space. The number of drawers can vary, but typically, you’ll find most horizontal styles boast four to six. An added bonus? You’ll have plenty of surface space for knickknacks, organizational accents, and a matching dresser mirror.
Vertical Styles: For rooms with less floor space, look to a tall dresser; it’ll leave room for other necessary bedroom furniture, while still providing valuable drawer space. A tall dresser can have vertical drawers or side by side: the style is not restricted in terms of drawer type. Keep in mind, however, vertical dressers generally don’t have mirrors.
